A Biopsychosocial Perspective of User-Generated Innovation in Open Innovation Models: A Moderated-Mediation Analysis

User-generated innovation has contributed to the growth of democratization open-innovation models. One most common forms user-generated is evident on social media platforms. The purpose this study investigate nonpecuniary motivations that drive among user innovators Furthermore, examines underlying sociopsychological and biological dispositions influence motivation. experimental control group consisted 204 different platforms who filled out a self-reporting questionnaire in exploratory research design. assessed endocrinal biomarkers through proxy measure 2D:4D ratio associated with behavioral, emotional, behavior. It developed moderated-mediation model evaluating indirect conditional relationships regression-based analysis bootstrapped estimations. findings support model, indicating motivation primarily explains innovator Hedonic emotions, characterized by aesthetics, experiential enjoyment, satisfaction-related feelings, mediate relationship.
